Media Manhandled At Harbhajan Singh-Geeta Basra Wedding

The Harbhajan Singh-Geeta Basra wedding was every bit the big, fat Punjabi wedding (Meet Mr. and Mrs. Harbhajan Singh,October 29) but unfortunately, it didn't end on a good note.
Media persons covering the wedding were manhandled by 4 bouncers last evening. The media persons were so upset with the treatment meted out to them that they staged a sit-in outside the reception venue in Jalandhar. They also alleged that the security personnel broke their cameras and destroyed all the recordings of the wedding.
The 4 bouncers in question - Kuldip, Gurpreet, Navjot and Bawan - have been arrested after a case was registered with the Punjab police.
After the assault, Harbhajan came out of the reception venue and apologised to media. He requested the photographers present there not to follow the matter.
